Grandmother already knew, potatoes are best stored in a dark place, and kept well ventilated. This authentic and decorative basket is perfect for storing potatoes in the kitchen, storage or basement, with little chance of sprouting. The open structure allows the harvest to be well ventilated, so that it will stay fresh longer. The excellent opening always presents the oldest stock first. The fresh harvest should be placed at the top of the basket by removing the lid. Aside from potatoes you could just as well store apples or onions in this basket.
